Pigeon Tony’s Last Stand

This was my first story from the „We Could Be Heroes“-Collection and also the first story by Lisa Scottoline. I needed a short, simple story to listen while taking a break from some rather difficult days in the family. I have to say, I really did enjoy this short story very much. Lovable characters, an interesting story and awesome ending! 😁👍🏻

„When amiable Italian immigrant Pigeon Tony discovers that local drug dealers are pressuring his young neighbor into joining their ranks, he resolves to put an end to the crime wave before it can take over the community. Pigeon Tony knows the law isn’t always on the right side, but it takes only one person to rally a revolution.“

The writing style is very pleasant and the clichés about Italian immigrants in the US are funny and lovingly drawn. 🙂 The mixture of humour and depth makes the book a real pleasure to read. A wonderful work that shows how a simple man can achieve great things through his courage and convictions. Highly recommended! 😁
