When I first read the name of this book I was sold already… 😉 Now I finally had the time to read it. And it was really all worth it. 🧛🏻‍♂️🦇🐀

The book started out lighthearted and fun, even like it was a comedy or like a silly episode of Desperate Housewifes. I really thought that was all the book was about. But then quite suddenly it took a darker turn with the first events around the middle of the book and it became really dark with one of the events nearly unbearable (at least to me and I’m not fainthearted at all) to read about 80% into the story. The end was dark, tense and really thrilling as well, I liked it very much. 😁👍🏻

Hendrix writing style is really gripping, unique and, I would say, action-packed but never forgets about the thoughts and the emotions of the protagonists. The only small detail which I didn‘t like or feel was the part with the „close-knit friends group“. I felt I would‘ve needed more backstory to really feel the friendship. But it didn‘t bother me that much. 🙂 So I can recommend this book to everyone who looks for a great horror novel. 😉😁👍🏻🥳

PS: Maybe consider to listen to the audiobook for this one, since the narrator (Bahni Turpin) is insanely skillful. 🎧⭐️
