This is my third book by Ray Bradbury. Like all his books, the writing style is beautiful and flowery and expansive, even poetic and very metaphorical at times. But it was one of the best Halloween stories and I certainly haven’t read it for the last time. 🎃👻💀🧙🏻‍♀️🗿🧟‍♂️

Despite the heavy and sometimes (at least for me) not always easy style, I really like his way of writing, even if in this case it was a bit too much and I therefore didn’t want to give it 5 stars. The book leaves a lot of room for interpretation and takes you to incredible places. Don’t forget to use your imagination at full power to really enjoy the whole thing. And who do you think is Mr. Moundshroud? 😉

Dies ist nun das dritte Buch von Ray Bradbury, welches ich lese. Wie alle seine Bücher ist der Schreibstil wunderschön und blumig und ausschweifend, stellenweise sogar poetisch und sehr metaphorisch. Aber es war eine der besten Halloween-Geschichten und ich habe sie sicher nicht zum letzten Mal gelesen. 🎃👻💀🧙🏻‍♀️🗿🧟‍♂️

Trotz dem schweren und manchmal (zumindest für mich) nicht immer einfachen Stil, mag ich seine Art zu schreiben sehr auch wenn es in diesem Fall etwas zu viel war und ich daher keine 5 Sterne geben wollte. Das Buch lässt einem viel Interpretationsspielraum und entführt einem an unglaubliche Orte. Vergesst nicht Eure Fantasie auf volle Kraft zu stellen um das Ganze auch wirklich geniessen zu können. Und was denkt Ihr, wer ist Mr. Downground? 😉
