This was my second short story from the collection „We Could Be Heroes“ after „Pigeon Tony’s Last Stand“ which was a real banger. 🙂 So I was quite hyped for this one.
„Nick Collins vows to uncover the truth behind an accusation of murder, but as the trial progresses, the only truth he discovers is that his big-city client doesn’t stand a chance against small-town beliefs. If the accused is found guilty until proven innocent, the real killer could still be out there, and there won’t be any heroes left to catch them.“

The writing was fantastic and I also liked nearly all the protagonists. However the story was a bit simple or even boring at times… It still got the 4 stars because of the writing and because the story wasn‘t as bad, it just kinda wasn‘t original. But I also liked the court room scenes and I think I will check out this authors other works. 😁👍🏻
