The Only One Left

I was a bit reluctant to read this book, because I didn‘t want to read another thriller and I wasn‘t in the right mood. But as it turnes out it was so much more than just a thriller. I‘m really glad I read it and it is really one of my reading highlights of this year. 😍👍🏻 I was hooked from the first page.🪝📖

„Everyone believes that Lenora Hope is a mass murderer. When the Hope family was massacred decades ago, she was the only one left after that tragic night. Mute, paralysed and confined to a wheelchair, Lenora has never been able to tell her side of the story. Until her new live-in caregiver Kit brings her a typewriter. And with one working finger Lenora begins to type.“

This was my first book by Riley Sager and I always thought of him as another thriller author like all the others out there. But far from it! 😳 His writing style is amazing. So fluent, dynamic and easy to read but not because it is flat or real „easy-reading“ but it sucks you in and doesn‘t let you go. 🥰 There were so many different connections and possibilities, you couldn‘t have guessed it and that was a good thing. I truely cared for all the characters and found them to be very well rounded and relatable. I can recommend this book wholeheartedly! 😁👍🏻🥰
